I tried to make a Q&A forum using quickbase.  Right now I can use summary report on how many questions asked per user.  But when it comes to how many questions answered, I'm at a loss.  Is there some way to show when

isnull[Answers] = false and [user] = current user,

[#ofAnswers] = [#ofAnswers] ++?

any help is appreciated

Can you give us some details on your table relationships please this will help us in responding?

If your answers are in a child table, then in the relationship settings click add summary field "the number of answers related to questions" and click create. This will add a field in your questions table with the number of answers. You can then add this to your report.

If you have done this as a one table then you will need some method to differentiate questions and answers and which questions they relate to.

I have done this with one table.  Only difference between questions and answers is they're two different fields under the same table.

Ok one approach would be to create two formula numeric fields, one called Number of Answers and one called Number of Questions

Then:

Number of Questions formula:
If(IsNull([Questions Text Field]),0,1)

Number of Answers formula:
If(IsNull([Answer Text Field]),0,1)

This will give you two fields which you can sum up in summary report.
