Hi

There is a little green flag that appears at top center when a record has been saved informing the user that the record has been saved that I would like to suppress.

The reason is because I have a form submit method where I want the user to click two different buttons. One button is a custom formula text and it saves the immediate record at hand. The second button appears on the view-only form along with the just saved record. I have provided a text message informing the user to look over the data, edit if necessary, and if not necessary, click the custom formula URL button to "SUBMIT" the record to the Admin. This formula URL button writes a Work Ticket for me in another database and table.

If the green flag appears, the user will think he's done and I don't want him to think he's done. I want him to click the formula URL button that writes a Work Ticket for me. He knows he's finished when he receives the Thank you page.

Possible to suppress the little green flag?

Thank you,

CGreene

On the report page implement IOL with this script:

$("#confMsgBox").remove();

This is the HTML that will disappear:

<div id="confMsgBox" style="visibility:hidden; display:none; position:absolute; text-align:center"><b>Record saved</b></div>

I assume you know all the reasons that is not a great idea to implement ...

I'm all for infusing my own custom message in that little green flag. Maybe using the ReplaceWith() method. But thank you for the information. I'll try it both ways.

I instead used the jQuery .html() method to change the message in the flag. Any save operation using the form the IOL is inserted into will result in the custom message being displayed.
