I have two tables. Master table has field "RMLink" and Child table has same value. From Master to Child is one-2-many relationship.

When I am creating relationship I need to select source field from master as "RMLink" which is a character field.

How do I achieve this?

You will need to go to the Field list for Master and make that field be the Key field to the table. Your Key field is likely still the Record ID# field.

If you have existing relationships, I suggest that you make a Copy of your app first to test there.

1. Go to field list in Master Table.

2. Checkbox RNLink field

3. Click Set Key.

Then go ahead and create the relationship and in the right side choose that RMLink field off the child table.
