I'm working on a Serial Number database where I will be managing and organizing over a million Serial Numbers for my Company's Product.

I would like to know if there is a solution/formula where when I enter the first 3 out of 11 digits from a Serial Number that I would get a value associated with the first 3 digits.

Example:

Serial Number: NC212345678

Upon inputting "NC2" then a field will display Model A

Upon inputting "NC8" then a field will display Model B

Upon inputting "ND7" then a field will display Model C

Having Quickbase to determine what Model is displayed by just inputting the first 3 digits of a Serial Number would be extremely helpful.

Begins([Serial Number], "NC2"), "Model A",

Begins([Serial Number], "NC8"), "Model B",

Begins([Serial Number], "NC7"), "Model C")
