UPCASE email Notificaton

Is there a way, in the subject of an email notification, to convert an inserted field to UPPER CASE?  For example, if the Status of an issue changes, I want to send a notification that contains the following in the Subject: Status=[Status], where the contents of the Status field is displayed in ALL CAPS so that it reads like this:  Status=CLOSED, for example.

You can make a new field called [Status Upper] with a formula of Upper([Status]) and use that field in your Notification Subject line
