I have Master Table which has task start time. This master task has 5 sub tasks defined another Task Table. In sub task table, assigned user updates the task to "In-Progress" status field and updates start time. And other 4 assigned task users start the task after few minutes. I am looking for a formula to update master task with least of task start time from sub-tasks which are in "In-Progress" status.

Good afternoon Chidambaram,

In this case, it looks like you could set up a reverse relationship or accomplish this with a summary/look up combo.

In the summary field/lookup combo, You would create a summary field in the relationship between Tasks and Sub Tasks that shows the Record ID of the Maximum Sub Task where Status = In Progress. Then you would also want to pass this down as a lookup field.

After that, you would want to create a new Summary field that says, Show me the total Start Time when Record ID = the Maximum Sub Task.

This should populate the most recent Start Time with the most recent in-progress Sub Task.

If you'd like more help setting this up or would like to look into the reverse relationship, I would suggest submitting a support ticket for this. You can submit a support ticket by going to Help --> Manage Support Cases --> New Case.

Have a great day!
