QB Community,

I am trying to create a URL Button that opens a record using a specific form.  I have this URL Field showing in a report but I want the button to act as if I am hitting the "Edit" icon on that report.  The main behavior I am after is the "Save and Next" option once the specific form loads.  This will allow the end user to process multiple files from that report.  Here is my current formula:

URLRoot() & "db/" & "dbidhere" & "?a=er&dfid=31&rid=" & [Claim #] & "&rl=2zw"

The problem is that the "&rl=???" portion seems to be dynamic.  It will work for a while and then the ??? part updates to a new combination.  Is there a way that I can pull the report ID directly for this?

Thank you!

I don't have an answer to your question, but I assume that you are aware that you can set a default Forms Usage "per report". Then the regular edit button will open up form ID 31 and the Save and Next would work.

Hi Andrew,
As stated here (Near the bottom): https://quickbase-community.intuit.com/questions/168579-are-there-any-docs-describing-how-to-use-z-and-rl-in-a-url-i-understand-that-z-rurl-brings-the-user-back-to-the-current-page-when-they-are-done-adding-a-record-but-it-isn-t-working-in-the-new-ui-so-i-d-like-to-find-documentation-on-how-it-works

"&rl=" isn't really documented or exactly known.  Trying to use it consistently, isn't a great idea.  We'd have to try accomplish your goal with some other method.  Let me know if you would like to pursue this further.

Thanks for the replies.  The first response actually helps me out and was an option that I had somehow overlooked.

Scott-- I found that link when I was doing my search earlier but saw it was 3 years old so was hoping that had changed.  Thanks again for the help!
