Hi NK,

What is your question in regards to User authentication?

Sorry, I guess I pressed some button before I completed my question...

I am trying to provide a link to my QuickBase Apps from another web page. The user need to login to gain access to the web page. Once they are on the web page, I would like them to click a button to access my QuickBase App without having to provide any QuickBase user-id or password. Is this possible by using user token?

Hi Nk,

There is an option in Quick Base that allows an application admin to set their app to be accessible to any user that follows a link to the app. This is covered by the option to share an application with "Everyone on the Internet". It allows you to set specific permissions just like you do for users for any user who hasn't signed into Quick Base. This means that anyone with a link to the application can access what is set up to be the permissions for the Everyone On The Internet user. I have included a link to the help topic below:

https://help.quickbase.com/user-assistance/share_with_everyone_on_internet.html

This would allow users to access this link and only the data you have set up specifically for your Everyone On The Internet user via their role. Otherwise users would need to specifically sign into Quick Base in order to make use of a Quick Base application. Sometimes that is desirable if you want a higher level of control over what an individual user can see and interact with in Quick Base. I hope this information is helpful.

This information is certainly helpful. However, due to data security, I wouldn't like to provide access to everyone on the internet. What I am trying to accomplish is a single sign on for a group of users inside and outside my organization to log into a web portal and from there access various applications including my QuickBase App without any further signing. I was hoping that this can be achieved through a combination of user token and app token.
