Hrere's the formula that I have for a Forumla-Email Address field:

UserToEmail([Staff Member - Supervisor])

I'm getting this error:

orclose
Formula error -- Bad or missing arguments in function call

The types of the arguments or the number of arguments supplied do not meet the requirements of the function UserToEmail.

The function is defined to be UserToEmail (User x).

You may need to do one of the following to fix the problem:
  • Choose the right number and type of arguments.
  • Use a type conversion function to convert the arguments you are using to the correct type.
  • Choose a different function.
Help!

Hi Jay,

Try this:

ToUser([Staff Member - Supervisor])

Thanks,

I guess I should also say what I'm trying to get.  I'm trying to return the user's email address, from a user field in a related table.

What is the be field type of that field you are trying to convert. Maybe it's just a text field.

It's List-User.  Staff-Supervisor is actually another lookup field from the Supervisor field in the Supervisor table.  Could that be it?
