I am building an app for incident and problem management. We need the ability to sort immediately once the ticket is received.We want to use the recordid# and put alpha in the beginning of the number.
Incident - IN123
Problem - P123
Service Request - SR123
A Formula Text Field named something like "Record Number" with a formula referring to the field that shows Incident, Problem or Service Request. The formula would be similar to this but you would use the real field name:
[field]="Service Request","SR"&[Record ID#])
