WeekdaySub is not returning any results. Both fields referenced are date fields and no syntax errors are shown.

Can you tell me the value in each of the two fields used n the formula on a representative record.  And also what is the result - just blank?

Yes - added a screenshot. No calc seems to happen. And this is for multiple formula fields I created.
The only idea i have is the question as to if there is a circular relationship.  Are those date field plain old data entry fields? or are they formula dates fields, which are part of a circular relationship. Bizarre things happen when you have a circular relationship.  It can happen with summary fields which are then used in calculations.

Try WeekdaySub(ToDate([Merch Enters Items in BB - End]),ToDate([Merch Enters Items in BB - Start]))

Hmm - I get an error with that. I'm guessing because the fields are already set as dates? These are simple, Date type fields with no formulas or relationships of any kind.
The error:
The types of the arguments or the number of arguments supplied do not meet the requirements of the function ToDate.

The function ToDate can be used with the following arguments:

    ToDate (Text x).
    ToDate (Text x, Text f).
    ToDate (Date/Time x).
Try going back to your original formula and double checking that you do not somehow have two fields with the same name.
