When a record is opened and "Notify Whom?" Is not blank, change "notify Whom?" to blank.

My form sends an email to one team or another depending on the choice selected in the dropdown "Notify Whom?". My intent is to send a single email for one particular update to the record, but people forget to manually set the dropdown back to blank and so start spamming the team last selected by mistake. 

Unfortunately, QuickBase doesn't give me an option to change a field based on "when the record is opened" trigger. Is there any other workaround I can use to send the notification only once to the selected team?

Hi Rachel,

I think for this kind of solution it would be easier for you to open a case so a customer care rep can take a look at your table's setup and advise on what kind of options there are to only send those kinds of emails once. Could you go to Help > Manage Support Cases > + New Support Case to get that started?
