Why isn't this formula working?

If(

[Actual Finish]>Date(2015,3,27) and [PAYROLL EXCEPTION?]=false and

[Completed by:]="Alfaro, Noe",

[Board Count (To Pay)]*-0.5,

[Actual Finish]>Date(2015,3,27) and [PAYROLL EXCEPTION?]=false and

[Board Count (To Pay)]*0.15)

The bolded part works, but the second part of the formula does not get picked up.

If(

[Actual Finish]>Date(2015,3,27) and [PAYROLL EXCEPTION?]=false and

[Completed by:]="Alfaro, Noe",

[Board Count (To Pay)]*-0.5,

If([Actual Finish]>Date(2015,3,27) and [PAYROLL EXCEPTION?]=false and

[Board Count (To Pay)]*0.15))

you needed to add "if" to the next condition

I'm sorry, but this didn't work either.  I copied and pasted the formula above.  Thank you

just check the parenthesis and make sure the commas are in the correct place

TRY THIS:

If(

[Actual Finish]>ToDate("03-27-2015") and [PAYROLL EXCEPTION?]=false and

[Completed by:]=ToUser("joelafaro@xxx.com"),     /// IF the Completed By is a User field

[Board Count (To Pay)]*-0.5,

If([Actual Finish]>ToDate("03-27-2015") and [PAYROLL EXCEPTION?]=false and

[Completed by:]=ToUser("miguelalvarado@xxx.com"),  /// IF the Completed By is a User field

[Board Count (To Pay)]*0.15))

What error message does your formula give you - that will help.  Your "date" format system works (although that's not one I've ever used before) - but I think the error is with your [Completed By:] which appears to be a User field type; rather than a text field.

I don't believe the problem is with the date field because the first part works fine.  It's the 2nd "IF" scenario that doesn't pull-in...

Does your formula work with only 1 IF?  Does the formula have any errors when you save it; or the formula just isn't calculating anything?

Only the 1st part works with 1 IF.  No, formula does not have errors...just doesn't calculate.  Thx

If a formula isn't calculating, then you need to make sure that each component of the second IF is filled in the way the formula expects it to be:

[Actual Finish]>Date(2015,3,27) and
[PAYROLL EXCEPTION?]=false and
