Why won't my dropdown order change even though I've switched the sorting back and forth?

I'm trying to change the add communication form so that the most recent ticket is at the top of the list rather than the oldest one, but nothing I'm doing is changing the sort. Am I changing the wrong field/property?

Is this dropdown a Text - Multiple Choice field (where you enter in the different selections for the dropdown) or is this dropdown being pulled from another table?

It's just pulling a list of the tickets in my ticket table. It's not multiple choice.

Okay I see. I played around with some of mine that were pulled form another table a bit but couldn't figure it out either - sorry about that.

Make a new report on your tickets table with the columns and sorting you want. Name it "Tickets Sorted Newest to Oldest"

Now go back to your add communication form and customize the form. Find the dropdown list field for your tickets and change the setting on the right from "Use the standard record picker" to your new report
