API_GetUserInfo
Hello, The purpose of my pipeline is to dynamically add a user via API calls. The user who submits the request to add a "new" user has to input the "new" users email address. I understand that I then need to use that email address within the API_GetUserInfo to check if the user's email exists on any realm within Quickbase. If it does, then I should use the @id response data and insert it into API_AddUserToRole -> API_SendInvitation. If it doesn't exist, then I should use API_ProvisionUser -> API_SendInvitation. My issue is that if a user is not found within the API_GetUserInfo, it throws an error: "Quickbase reported an error: 2 : Invalid input : The user with the specified email address or username does not exist." I have tried adding an if statement to avoid the error and simply continue on: {% if b.json.qdbapi.user['@id'] != "" %} true {% endif %} However, it still throws the error if the user is not found. Is there any way to prevent this error from occurring? Thank you.16Views0likes2CommentsReport Help - Multiple apps/tables
Hello. I'm looking for some assistance/guidance with reporting for our QA team. We have multiple apps built for different review types. We would like to have a separate report or maybe dashboard that could show how a specific Line of Business is doing as a whole across all different types of reviews being completed. For example, we have an app for Review X, Review Y, and Review Z. Each of those separate review processes provide great reports for that specific review. We want to pull data from Review X, Review Y, and Review Z to show how a specific Line of Business is performing across all reviews. Kind of shooting for an end result overall QA score for each LOB. Would this be a time to utilize the table to table relationships or what would be the best/easiest way to create this type of report or dashboard? Our team is new to the QuickBase world and have been using since March 2024. Thanks6Views0likes1CommentPipelines and Filters
Hello, I'm attempting to setup a Pipeline which checks to see if a record has two Numeric Summary Fields which equal each other, and if they do, it updates a multi-text status field from "Assigned" to "Delivered." When attempting to create the Pipeline, I've been struggling to get it to run. When attempting to set the filter so that it checks if Field A equals Field B, it seems like I can't check Field A against another field specifically, only enter a value of my own. I thought about getting around this by using a checkbox formula on the record which says if Field A = Field B, true and then having the Pipeline filter be setup such that it runs when the Checkbox field is true. However, the Pipeline never seemed to trigger off that Checkbox, even when it was changed from unchecked to checked. Is the issue that I'm not actually updating the record, but instead Summary fields which are being updated? If so, is there any way around that? Thank you in advance.34Views0likes5CommentsNew form "email" option, automate?
Hi Everyone, I'm looking to automate via pipeline a way to email a form just like the new option when viewing a form (see attached pic). I'm not sure it's possible and I tried searching for a solution in the discussions. I know this feature is relatively new and thought I'd reach out to see if anyone has the same interest. I'm more interested in using the native "email" function like below than using GMail but if there's no other way, I'll pursue that route instead. Thanks!8Views0likes0CommentsNew forms- code
Trying to add a span rich text field in the new form style. I have added a new rich text field, clicked "code" which made the background grey, but when I type in span, it still says span. I have tried adding <> around it but that does not seem to work either. ------------------------------ Ryan Doble ------------------------------14Views0likes2CommentsHow to Force Index of File Attachment Field for Advanced Search?
How to Force Index of File Attachment Field for Advanced Search? Can't See <Some Attached File> Option Hi Folks, The availability of the advanced search option <Some Attached File> seems random. Has anyone pinpointed how this works? I need to search within file attachments stored in a single QB table and have tried without success: Loading a single ocr pdf, setting the "Include this field when searching/filtering this table" option, then waiting 24 hours for indexing. No search option for "<Some Attached File>". Creating the file attachment field and setting the "Include this field when searching/filtering this table" BEFORE adding files. Then adding files and waiting 24 hours+ for indexing, but no search option for "<Some Attached File>". Removing other file attachment fields in the table. No change. One table has the search option for some reason, but I can't get the option to appear on any other table. Thanks!Solved10Views0likes1Comment(Pipelines) Get Users in Role / Process XML from HTTP API
Hello, any help/advice would be much appreciated. I'm trying to send a reminder email to users in a specific Role, in a specific App, using Pipelines. As far as I can tell, there is not a JSON RESTful API call that does this (Get Users only returns all users for an App, with no info on Roles). However, API_UserRoles returns each user from an app with what Roles they have. In theory, I could somehow loop over this and send the email to only those users with a specific role. I can successfully use the Quickbase Channel -> 'Quickbase APIs' -> 'Make Request' step to call API_UserRoles and get this data. Here's where I run into trouble: How do I process this XML into a form that another step could use (e.g. loop over it and send emails)? I found this question: "To capture an XML response from an API in Pipelines" but I can't seem to figure out how get {{a.json.qdbapi.value}}. When I try to view its contents (emailed to myself) it is blank. There isn't any "Result" field or something like that from this request step available in subsequent steps. Only URL, Method, Headers, Content Type, & Body. For instance, if I want to get the JSON out of the XML (using {{a.json.qdbapi.value}}) with the JSON Handler Channel -> 'Iterate over JSON Records', the 'JSON Source' field states 'No json sources in the pipeline' Thank you for any help you can offer, ~Daniel ------------------------------ Daniel ------------------------------66Views0likes3CommentsFuzzy Match / Approximate Match in Pipelines?
Is there any functionality in Pipelines or the QB API that allows for fuzzy matching? I've been reading that there some APIs that have built-in fuzzy matching (Reltio,Search - Get Search Fuzzy - REST API (Azure Maps),Fuzzy matching | Dialogflow ES | Google Cloud), but could not find any such mention in the QB API documentation. I have a table of Vendors (about 4,000 records) that is being updated from our ERP using the key field, Internal ID. We often have to manually add "prospective" vendors to the QB application that haven't yet been added to the ERP. For those, an Internal ID well beyond the range of actual Internal IDs is used. A fraction of those "prospective" vendors get added as actual vendors to the ERP, which end up being duplicates in QB since their Internal IDs won't match. Yes, one option is to create the prospective vendors to the ERP first, but that's just not an option with our company's established controls. So, I was hoping I could build a pipeline that retrieve the list of vendors from QB vendor table, that are in that special Internal ID range, and compare their "Name" to the "Name" of vendors under the Internal ID range, and generate an exception report of potential duplicates that would go to and admin, to then be manually merged if appropriate. But of course the match shouldn't be exact, because it's not likely we'd have the vendor's name during the "prospect" phase. E.g: 3 Margaritas Restaurant Three Margaritas Restaurant Three Margaritas Restaurant, LLC Margarita's Restaurant Absent a built in fuzzy match operator in the QB API, anyone know of any other ways of doing this? Apparently there's code code scripts that can do it, but not sure if pipelines has the ability to run code. -Anthony ------------------------------ Anthony Guillen ------------------------------13Views0likes2CommentsFormula help for Multi Select Text

Hey all, Have a client who's trying to kick off a reporting process and wants to make sure their data in the necessary connected tables is fully present by the time the EFPs are built. Part of that process is having multiple connected tables refresh, but they don't want to have to do this on the hour or go through each table and hit the button before starting the rest. Is it possible to have one custom button trigger those refreshes as part of its arguments? Thanks!59Views0likes3Comments
