How to convert a connected table to Quick Base Table

Question

I have a table that is a combination of a Connected CSV file and Quick Base created editable fields. Because of this mix I am having problems keep data synchronized when one of my "Key Fields" changes. Was wonder if there is quick trick to convert the data into a Quick Base Table and remove the connection?

Hi Bradford, we're actually adding the ability to disconnect a connected table in this Sunday's release! You'll be able to go to the table's settings, click on the connection settings and then disconnect from there:

Brian...&nbsp; That is great news.&nbsp; &nbsp;I guess this may have been ask for awhile from customers that initially do a connected approach then come to realization that they shouldn't have gone down that path.&nbsp; &nbsp; My new rule when I am building an app will be to use connected csv for changing data&nbsp; only in "Child" tables only.------------------------------Bradford Fullerton------------------------------

I actually want to do the opposite.&nbsp; I created an app prototype with an exported file of Employee, but now need to have that data sourced from a connected table to more easily facilitate daily refreshes.&nbsp; The existing table has a lot of additional Quick Base fields I don't want to have to recreate if I don't have to.Do you have any advice on the easiest way to transfer a table to be connected?&nbsp; Is my only option to create a new connected table and recreate all the relationships and Quick Base fields in that new table?------------------------------Tate Forgey------------------------------

Hi Tate,Where would you like to source that data from? We do not have a way to convert a standard table into a connected table, but you may be able to start importing the data using Pipelines instead. Great to hear from you, Brian.&nbsp; I'm looking forward to the Pipelines webinar today!This data doesn't exist anywhere yet.&nbsp; This is an export from our PeopleSoft system being provided by SQL developers I (stupidly) just loaded into the table for demo purposes.&nbsp; To make things as easy as possible until we can properly integrate systems (can someone say Pipelines ODBC channel and batch processing) I was just going to have them drop a CSV of the export in a folder in our Enterprise DropBox account where we have a BAA to ensure compliance.&nbsp; The thought is that it would be easy for them to replace this file whenever they feel they need to and I would not have to be part of that process.I see there is a Dropbox channel, but the actions seem to be file-based.&nbsp; I haven't had a chance to try these out, yet. Maybe I'm just being thick here, but how would I use that to update current data in a table?&nbsp; (Or any of the other channels.)&nbsp; Also, any issues with the process I have outlined?&nbsp; I don't really use connected tables normally.------------------------------Tate Forgey------------------------------
