Automation retire deadline extension?

I swear I saw an email a month or so ago saying that we no longer need to switch our automations to Pipelines by Jan 1, 2023. There is no current date but they will give us 6 months notice.

I cannot find that email now, and want to be sure I saw that correctly. Can anyone confirm?

It was in these release notes
    https://helpv2.quickbase.com/hc/en-us/articles/9655266216340-Quickbase-October-2022-Release-Notes

They also said somewhere that when they do announce and End of Life date, there will be at least 6 months notice.

EDIT: The release notes say "You will have at least six months notice to prepare for the new End of Life date".

  • Hi Mike,

I can confirm that we did also send an email to those who still had active Automation usage as well when we decided to move the date and what Mark linked is the correct details. Rather then pick another date just yet we are instead really focused on the experience we want users to have and the features we want to be offering ahead of being ready to go end of life. When we have a clear picture of when all those things would exist in Pipelines to support users migrating then we would pick our new end of life date and we are setting the expectation that we will give at least 6 months from announcing the date to when it arrives.
