Dynamic Filter Dashboard for Formula Query Line Charts

I have a line chart that uses formula queries to show me total sales this year compared to last year and year prior.  Basically 3 year growth chart.  It is on a sales KPI dashboard page.

I want to add a filter to this dashboard page to let us select major clients.  All of this information is in quick base and I can get the filter to display the clients properly and majority of the reports filter perfectly.  The line chart does not because the formula query is not connected to this dashboard filter.  How would I do that?
