Group and Count Formula

I have a project number field and it can be listed multiple times. I need to first group the project numbers to be counted as one record, then a count of the number of projects. 

Having a brain fart, need some assistance.

    Are you asking how to count the Unique Project numbers?  One way is to make a Summary Report of Projects based on Project Number.​
