Help with average

Hello!
I am trying to build a chart (bar, line, does not matter) demonstrating an average duration, as measured in hours and minutes. On a table report of the individual records, it shows accurately the average. But scaling out by quarter (or any other metric), it's displaying I think the average duration as part of a full day, instead of saying "2.68 hours", which is roughly where these numbers should be. Instead, it displays in tenths. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here?

    I have two things for you to try. The first is to look at that duration field and there is probably a setting to force a certain unit of measure. By that I mean instead of letting it default to smart units force it to display in minutes or in hours.  

    If that does not solve the issue then I suggest you make a formula which converts the duration in either the number of numeric minutes or the number of numeric hours and then plot your chart using a traditional numeric field.
