Limiting # of Report Row Results or Limiting number of records exported

Hello Everyone! Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this post!

This is my first post here, so thanks in advance for any advice!

My Problem. The clients whose application I am currently developing wants to be able to export data to CSV file in some areas of the application but does NOT want to let an end user have the ability to export all the data a report result may end up showing due to sensitivity of data, in this case sales data. Once the end user analysis sales data via the report's filter and groups, the client wants to limit the number of rows from the report to the first 50. So, I am hoping to get some feedback from the community on possible solutions to this problem.

Some basic information about what I currently know. I understand how the native QuickBase export feature works and how this can be turned on and off for tables and roles. I also understand that there is a way to create a formula button that export data directly to a file locally.

Furthermore, I have tried to come up with a set of fields and formula to try and count the rows in a report and so far, have been unable to get this to work.
