Proxy Fields

I have the following tables set up:  Customers, Contacts, Locations & Projects.

In "Projects", I have cascading drop downs set up to choose related Customer, related Contact & related Location.  

I have designated "Proxy Field" values for all 3, but they are still displaying as the Record ID numbers, instead of the Proxy Fields.  When I edit the project, it shows the proxy fields correctly, but in the grid view, I only get the numbers.

What am I doing wrong and how can I make it show the proxy values on the grid view?

        I think perhaps you're thinking of what a proxy field is, is backwards.  :)

        The proxy fields are the fields that should be put on the form and on your reports. Not the various  [Related XYZ fields] which are the meaningless (to users) numbers.
