Pulling in the most recent data from another table to a status field.

I have some questions about pulling in the most recent data from another table to a status field.

    I suggest not using a Formula Query.
    One Job has many Status updates.

    1. Create a Summary field on that relationship for the Maximum Record ID# and call it [Record ID# of Most Recent Status Update].
    2. Look up down to status updates.
    3. Create a Combined text summary field of the Status field on the updates table subject to the filter that the [Record ID#] equals the [Record ID# of Most Recent Status Update].
    4. That will give you the most recent status up on he job record.  If you don't like the bubble appearance, then make a formula text field with the formula ToText([My combined text summary status field])
