No, you cannot change those built-in fields but you really have no problem. If you simply don't want to see the time displayed you can change the format of those fields to not display the time but probably a better idea is to leave those in their native format and just create a new field formula date called perhaps [Date Created.] (ie, with an extra dot) with a formula of ToDate([Date Created]).
Then just use the "dot" version of the field for when you only want to use the date.

Sorry but I am not understanding your question. Can you give an example of what you mean? When you say a field that is generated automatically by QuickBase do you mean the five built-in fields for record owner and last modified by etc?
