The rid list is a code for the list of records at a moment in time and is only temporarily stored. QIDs which are those large negative numbers are also temporary links. I think you will need to try to describe why you cannot make a Grid Edit Report as a report type and use that link.

- Hey Mark! I may be missing something obvious, but I can't figure out a way to filter parent records on a Grid Edit Report the way I can in a standard report, by creating a form with a filtered field and then changing the role report settings. The grid edit report I'm making needs to be able to select parent records from a filtered set.

------------------------------- Your question seems to have transitioned from the original post but yes I do agree that when you make a grid edit report you are not able to specify a form to control the drop-down list. That is a limitation of the Grid Edit Report Type.
