Quickbase api in pipeline

Back to quickbase after a long period of inactivity.

New to pipelines .

Have managed to use some functionalities (bulk records and upsert) to import some text files and Google sheets)

I want to:

after de pipeline finishes processing, the user goes to a certain report or form to manually do some things

Suppose I have to use a quickbase api call at the end of the pipeline (last step).

Tested without success. Can anyone share the steps os url (generic) needed to achieve this , if this is possible?

  • Pipelines runs in the background.  It is not possible to have the last step in a Pipeline control the user's screen.

You can however have a URL formula button to launch edit a record and trigger the Pipelines and then immediately redirect the user to a record or report. But they will arrive before the Pipeline has completed.  You could land them on a an admin type record with a time stamp of when the pipeline was triggered and have the Pipeline stamp that record when it completed. Then the user could keep refreshing that page until it finished and then provide a link they click hen the pipeline has completed to get to where you want them to be.

  • Hello. Unfortunately pipelines aren't database triggers. Some times can be late a couple mins before finish  the execution.

    Thank you
