Automatically update status when field is blank formula

I need help writing a formula for:

When the field Assembly Hours is left blank, the Status of Change Order (which is a drop-down text field) goes to Awaiting Manufacturing 

When the field Material Hours is left blank, the Status of Change Order (which is a drop-down text field) goes to Awaiting Materials

    Try playing with dynamic form rules to accomplish this. 

    If those fields are not visible for whatever reason, you can add this logic to an "Action" or a webhook to make the appropriate updates.
