Hi! Has anyone used this successfully? Wondering if it is worth the effort to set up. Currently Better Impact is being used for volunteer management, but QuickBase is used for almost everything else.
I need to update the email associated with this account (for posting in the community) not specifically in our quickbase realm. I went to my profile settings and the only option I have is to change my user name. How do I update the email address?
I came here to sign up for some of the monthly events and discovered the link to the Website is no longer available from here. I am looking at the Events drop down in the header bar, all I see are Empower and Qrew Events. Luckily Ben left a breadcrumb in the calendar comments which I have pasted below.Am I missing something?https://www.quickbase.com/events
Hello All,I have a table A as the parent table and then I have the table b as the data which is a sync table that gets updated every month. I am trying to figure out how to snapshot a summary report and keep the data from changing. I am doing an analysis of some data and I want to keep that data the same when I come back to it a months from now. Table b is the summary report that I am trying to snapshot at the time I create the record in table A. Looking for any good ideas on how to do that? ThanksJen
When a parent record is added, and a specific "issue type" is selected from the drop down list is there a way to require a task record to be created. The add task is a linked table within the parent record.
Is it possible to run a table Refresh/Sync, for a Google Drive Connected Table, within a pipeline? I want to refresh a table at a specific scheduled time and then run a Table to Table import job. The refresh scheduling on the connected table is not specific enough since it is anytime within a one hour period. Thank you in advance for any help that you can provide.------------------------------Christine Carpentier------------------------------
I am trying to create a dynamic report that will stay updated with our top 25 clients based on their ACV. I have a checkbox field on each account labeled 'Top 25'. My goal is to have this automatically updated based on each account’s ACV. Ideally this proccess would: Look at all eligible AccountsRank them by ACV from highest to lowestIdentify only the top 25Check the Top 25 checkbox for those AccountsUncheck Accounts that fall out of the Top 25Recalculate this automatically on a schedule The main issue I'm having is the Search Records step lets me set a record limit of 25 without giving me an option to sort the results by ACV. Because of that, I’m concerned that limiting the search to 25 records would not necessarily return the 25 highest ACV accounts. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
Is it possible in QuickBase to convert different currencies to USD using today's exchange rate?I have a field where users enter costs in different currencies, but want these costs to be converted to USD so i can compare costs. I know i can do that by create another numeric field and set us a formula with another text field contains all the currencies and then identify all the foreign currencies values against USD, but this needs to be updated regularly as the exchange rates change. Any function in QB to resolve this and convert currencies to USD based on today's rate.
Hello,I have a fairly simple question. I'm currently learning how to use Solutions API / ALM. My plan is to create a copy of one of my applications and then use that copy to test creating and deploying solutions in it.As shown in the screenshot I've attached, before I create the copy application, I'm prompted to select options for my Cross-App Relationships. I just want to confirm that the option "Remove Cross-App Relationship" is the option that will not interfere with the original app(s). My goal is to create a copy of an app that is pretty much disconnected to other app(s), so I can rest assured nothing will be affected once I start testing things in the copied app. Please confirm. Thanks in advance!
Can anyone suggest how I can create an unknown number of child records? Sometimes the user might need 10, 50, 200 or any number in that range. I would like the user to have the option to enter this # in a field and click a button to trigger the process. I thought I could use a pipeline loop but I don't see a way to run the loop a number of times based on a field value. My goal is to populate the table shown below, with no data, allowing the user to quickly input the data right on this form without adding/opening/editing each individual record. I'm happy to provide more details or take a different approach. Thanks
I have a Multi-select Text field on my Projects table called Project Products. A project can have multiple products, for example:Product A; Product B; Product CI’m trying to build a report that groups/counts by each individual product, but when I group by the multi-select field, Quickbase groups by the entire combination of selected values instead. For example, I’m getting groups like:Product A; Product BProduct AProduct B; Product CInstead, I want the report to display:Product A — 2 projectsProduct B — 2 projectsProduct C — 1 projectIs there a way to “explode” or separate the values from a Multi-select Text field so each individual product can be grouped and counted within one report?
What is wrong with this formula where the field in brackets is a URL field."<a href='" & "'><img src=\"[Photo Exterior Front from website]\"></a>"As is, I am not getting an image but when I click on the url in the url field I do get an image.
Hello everyone, One of my commitments this year has been to build a stronger connection with amazing Qrew members, and I’ve been looking forward to writing this post today. First of all, I want to thank everyone who was able to attend Empower 26 in May for spending their time with us. It was a pleasure to see you all and to speak with so many of you. Thank you also to those of you who joined us online – I hope we can see one another in person soon! It was another reminder of just how creative, inventive, and smart Qrew members are. During my speech at Empower (which you can watch here), I talked a lot about keeping promises. I think we’ve done a good job in the last year or so following through on commitments we made and focusing more on our customers. But there’s still plenty of work to do, and I can’t wait to take it on. As part of my commitment to im
Hello all, does anyone if it's possible/how to dynamically hide/show reports and other information in document templates? I have a case where certain reports are needed for one common type of report, while other types of reports I need to generate use different reports. At the moment any time I want to include/exclude data for a report I would have to make an entirely new document template, and then manage that going forward. All help is appreciated, thanks!
Hello Qrew!Anyone using Quickbase to work with people outside your org? Come talk about it at the September 22nd Qrew meetup! Here’s the list of features that help with connection and collaboration: Emailing non-users – send updates to any email, no login needed Emailing a record – share one record's exact view with someone in a click Public app sharing – open an app to anonymous users, read-only, write-only, or both Secure links – expiring links that let someone view or edit one record without logging in Document generation – auto-build PDFs or Word docs from your data Role-based access – control exactly what outside users can see or touch If you’re using these features, we'd like to hear from you. Please reach out and we can feature you at our next Qrew Meetup. Thank you!

I have a form with a basic rule that says "if this field has a value, then set this other field's value to another value". This is based on a relationship, but it works just fine when using the regular form. The issue is that when I click the "New Record" link at the top of an embedded Report which opens a modal instead of a new window the form rules don't apply the same way they do when using the full form. Here's the specific example. I have a parent "Job" record. In this record is a field called "Contract Type". When I create a new Project from that record using the embedded report, it automatically links the Job it was created from. I want the "Project - Contract Type" field to match what's in the Job record. But it needs to be possible to have a completely different "Contract Type" in the Project than what is in the Job. I just want it to default to that value.I'm using a basic form rule that says "if Job - Contract Type" is not empty, then fill that value into the "Project -
I have a pipeline set up to Fetch JSON from a third party application and iterate over JSON records. It returns the results without an issue, however the main data I want to extract from the results is an array that is nested within that results object. My main goal is to iterate through that nested array and create a record for each item in that array. Is that possible?I have tried a few different things without any luck. I don't have a ton of experience with for loops using Webhooks, but that seemed to be the most likely way to do this so I have tried using that without any luck.I can post an example code if necessary. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I was pulling in JSON data from Ground Control and was having some trouble pulling in some nested data while creating a record. Here is how I solved it. I hope I can save some people time.Used the method posted here to get this started: JSON Handler details Data initially pulled was not an issue at the top level.Nested inside my data is "customFieldValues". Sample: "customFieldValues": [ { "name": "SomeFieldA", "value": "Abcdefg" }, { "name": "SomeFieldB", "value": "1234567" }, { "name": "SomeFieldC", "value": "CwhatIDidThere?" } ] To pull in this value I needed to use a raw_record Jinja expression and state the location in the array.{{b.raw_record['customFieldValues'][0]['value']}} 0 is used since this is the first location in the Array.(This assumes that b. is the reference used for the ot
I'm having issues getting a pipeline to add records for each JSON object. I think it has to do with the JSON schema example in the Iterate over JSON records step, but I've tried a few different options without success. Here's what I'm looking at:Below is an example of the data from a user data call. This has 2 employee objects (or arrays? I'm not sure...) I'd like to create a record for each employee, pulling their email address from the data into a field. When I enter the example below in the JSON Schema Sample and run the pipeline, I get only a record created for employee 1.I've tried altering the JSON schema sample to what's shown below. When I take this approach, I get a record created, but it is completely blank (no email). Any help would be much appreciated!------------------------------Addie Brunson------------------------------
Hello,I have a sync table to salesforce, and I have another table called projects.I've created a pipeline when the trigger is record added to SF table, then it must create a record into projects table.I tested this in sandbox and it works, but I manually created the record in SF tables (trying to mimic the behavior in live). So, I created another pipeline for "live", but this doesn't trigger. Now I know that sync table doesn't works the same as a normal table, so I need to change the logic of my trigger.SF table refresh the data once every day. I was thinking in add a "schedule", and search when "Creation Date" is the date of "today", like:If CreationDate = today AND flag = unchecked Create record in projects flag = CheckEnd ifBut I don't know how accurate this logic is. I want to create a record in project with the new sync data and not with old values.Any suggestion will be appreciated :)
I found this thread from years ago (https://community.quickbase.com/discussions/quickbase-discussions/multi-select-fields-max-100/76382) that demos a really clever method to get around QB's limit of 100 options in a multi-select text field, but I have sort of the opposite issue where I have a multi-select text field that contains a list of all 50 states, and I want users to be able to select potentially up to all 50 options, but currently they're limited to 20. There are a handful of workarounds (breaking the states list into multiple fields, creating 50 individual checkboxes for each state, setting up a sub-table with an embedded grid report on the form where the user would create 1 record/state), but none of those options are nearly as elegant/intuitive/UX friendly as just a single multi-select that lets you pick more than 20 options.Anyone have any ideas? This is for a project where the intended users are external users who have 0 QB experience and would only ever fill out this
At the recent App Builder Qrew meetup, we heard so many great AI prompting tips at our latest Qrew Meetup that I don’t want them to disappear into one recording. Let’s build something together: a Quickbase AI Prompt Library — by users, for users. If you’ve got a prompt that helped you: build something faster clean up data troubleshoot an app create or improve a Pipeline find insights save time or just make Quickbase AI behave a little better Drop it in the comments! Bonus points if you share using this format:1. The prompt (give some context) 2. What you were trying to do (describe any contraints or guardrails you added) 3. A screenshot/visual of the result (Share the output and the results of it) Let’s make this thread useful, practical, and full of examples people can borrow and reference. The goal is to turn what we collect in the community and turn it into a reference library for all Quickbase users. Thank you for sharing your prompts! Can't wait to see what we g

I have a new-style form that displays pages as steps. The user clicks the button (Formula URL) under step #3 to add a child record. Once they save that record, they're redirected back to the form, but on step #1. How do I bring the user back to the last step they were on?URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_TABLE_ALIAS_HERE] & "?a=API_GenAddRecordForm&_fid_6=" & URLEncode ([Record ID#])& "&z=" & Rurl()The app uses New Grid Reports. I tried having the user add records in-line, however those rely on lookups to the parent and they won't save, saying that the lookup value is not set.I created a new Formula URL button to redirect back to that specific tab. It works when editing/viewing records but not when adding.URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_TABLE_ALIAS_HERE] & "?a=API_GenAddRecordForm&_fid_6=" & URLEncode ([Record ID#]) & "&NextURL=" & URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "/form?a=er&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&
