Automation Missing Field

Hello,

I've created an automation to copy records from a template table to a line item table. For some reason, one field from my line items table does not show up to select when I'm creating the copy action in the automation. All the other fields I need are there and are copying over. I've checked both tables and the field exists in both. I've never seen this before. Any thoughts? The field I'm looking for is "Recommended Buffer %" and it is not included in the available fields. I thought maybe it was because of the special character, so I removed it, but I still don't see the field in the drop down.

  • Is this a new field recently created?  If so I would log off all your sessions and log in again and then the Automation might see the new fields.

    If these are "old" fields, then that is a more difficult question.

      This has happened to me.

      I closed and reopened the automation and the field appeared after a small lag.

  • Kim,

    I have had Special Character problems plenty of times.    I suggest you create a brand new field in both tables and use that in your automation.  If that fixes the problem then you know that somewhere in the Secret Sauce of Quick Base the old field name and its issues have not cleared.

    Doh! I figured it out. I had restricted access to the field to "View" for all roles. Changed it to "Modify" for admin and the field appeared in the automation.
