C# Sample using API?

Does anyone have or know of a C# sample using the API - NOT THE SDK? Tried the SDK and it is out-of-date and times out when using IQapplication client.Connect.  I am just trying to get ALL records from ONE table and this has been one nightmare.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
