Can I color code pins on a map report?

We provide janitorial services and use several subcontractors. We'd like to be able to look at a map and quickly see which subcontractors do work for us in an area. I created the map report but you have to hover over each pin to see the subcontractor. I was wondering if it's possible to assign each subcontractor a different color pin on a map report so it would be easy to see who cleans there.

  • If you use the third party product from Juiced, then you are not limited to 100 pins and you can colour code and letter code the pins.

any way to do this without third party products?
  • Has there been any progress on this or is 3rd party the only way to change the color of map pins?

Is it in the pipeline?  Is it likely to change anytime soon? Or is it not being planned at all?
  • Hi there!

You can build a custom map in a Quick Base code page relatively easily and can color code pins that way.

Check out this article for more information! Feel free to reach out if you give it a try and have any questions!

If they didn't find a solution by now 5 years later they are probably in real trouble.

What makes your addon/solution any different or better than the Juiced Tech one that was posted 5 years ago as the solution? Is it the same article that was posted a year ago in this thread?

If you want to go big time with this, I have got two different clients that pull the data from Quick Base into SQL and then do heat maps in Tableau.  One is using sales data and the other has second DB for marketing purposes.  Layering that into the visualization is very powerful.
