Can Webhooks trigger off of Automations?

I was wondering if an automation that changes a field on a record can trigger a webhook that is looking for that change? If I make the change manually, the webhook triggers, but if it changes through the automation it is not working at the moment. Is there a work around for this or perhaps I am doing something wrong.

    Hi Jordan,

    Automations making a change on a record should trigger a webhook if the record change meets the conditions of the Webhook. Is your webhook just looking for a specific field change and if so does the Automation definitely change that field and the value coming over isn't the same as before? Also webhooks does have a limit for how many can fire at once, have you gotten any error emails letting you know that you have exceeded the threshold just incase that Automation is editing a large volume of records at the same time?

      Thanks for your response! Somehow, everything is working as intended after double checking all my settings and testing again. I'm not sure why it wasn't working last week unless it was just a user error on my behalf, but all is good now.  Now, I just need to figure out how to delete a bunch of attachments from all records if they fit a certain criteria, but I'll post another discussion for that.
