Changing Ownership breaks and/or resolves my notifications

Question

My coworker set up several notifications. When he left, I updated his user/admin permissions. The notifications stopped working. I switched the "owner" on one of them from him to me and it started working again. So, then, I switched owner on all of them. The others stopped working but the one I changed still works. Is there a known issue with this? Should I delete and rebuild the notifications? Any suggestions?

Are all the the green checkboxes still checked? That is the switch to enable/disable them.

Hi Mark, it is strange. I wasn't sure if could be a permissions thing. As I think I mentioned, I recently changed the users permissions, but that would seem to have no bearing on how any of the notifications and automations work. I switched back to the original user profile and it worked again, so I'm going to leave it at that. I could be overlooking something or might be user error, but as long as it works, I'm ready to move on. Thanks for responding.------------------------------Mathew Crist------------------------------

The user you are sending the notifications to has access to the records that would trigger the notification? Also with automations this matters as well, if the user that owns the automation lacks the permissions to see the right records(like no view in a table) or cannot add records somewhere the automation will fail. Usually not an issue you see because administrators are setting them up who likely have full access to all tables.Sometimes I have had notifications just stop working on their own for no reason that I can detect. I rebuild them as a brand new notification and they start working again. This is really rare but has happened a few times to me.
