Color-coding in search results

I have a color-coding formula in a table's default report settings to color rows based on a status field. It works across reports that I've created that use the default report columns. However, it does not work on global app search results or table search results, even though the search results use the default report columns. Is there a way to enable color-coding on search results?

    I think the only way that this could be accomplished would be to require users to search within an existing report (say on a table dashboard), rather than using the global search.
