Create a field of users with a certain role?

I am trying to create a field that has the email address of users in two to for different roles.  I have a field that has all of the users in the app, but I want to narrow it down to users in certain roles.  What is the best way to accomplish this?

    Are you referring to a User Field type where the choices are specified in the field properties?  You will not have much flexibility there.  Have you considered making a table of Users and then  having a field(s) on the form where you can use to limit the drop down choices when choosing a Related User field from a relationship?

      I was hoping there was an easier approach using some of the user functions.  Is there a way to dynamically create the user list using the user functions?

        no,
        If this is simple user field, there is very little flexibility for anything automatic based on Role.
