Default value not working on field type Text-Multiple Choice

I have added a new field EXT.PT SENT NO is the default value. However, it is not populating. See attached, please thank you ------------------------------ BuildPro -------------------------...

Default values only populate for new records; not for existing ones.

 

You can use a Search and Replace from a Report of Records (found under the More option) to update existing records accordingly.

Thank you.  I think I knew that, but the ole brain doesn't hold on to things like it used to!
