Email to potentially nonusers, only information pertaining to them

I'm looking to send out emails to contractors, which may or may not be Quick Base users, and have them confirm banking information so they can be paid in a timely manner.

I have an email field which is set to equal either a toemail([useraccount]), or if blank, to use the personal email address we have on file.

I have a report which has Labor Line Items pertaining to individuals, with banking fields through the relationship.

My question is, how can I filter the notification/subscription to only send the appropriate rows/records to the correct people?

Thanks in advance.
  • From a security perspective it is an extremely bad idea to email banking information as your propose.

Fully understand where you're coming from, though in this situation, may be the course of action I have to take.
  • I would make a report of contractors and then make a URL formula button which would put today's date in a field called [Date Banking info requested].

The button would update that field and refresh the report which would be filtered to omit Contractors where that date field is today or some other date range.

Then set a Notification of Type OPEN to fire when that date field is updated.

Then you run the report and mindlessly click on the URL button on every record until the report is blank.

If you get that working and want a single button to click to trigger all he records to fire off individual Notifications, contact me off line and I can set that up for you.  QuickBaseCoach.com.
