Field not refreshing

I have a connected field to a "Data" table i created. I used the "Link" reference field to work around. It works great, except for one issue. Every time I log on the field is empty instead of showing the total amount specified by the field.

I have to open the field and save it for the data to refresh. It is the same for every user, but I am the only one that knows how to open the field and save it.

Is there a way to have this field auto refresh when someone logs in or intermittently with a custom data rule?
