how to set multi-line text filed so that the entry is shown in view mode as it is written?

Is there a way to set multi-line text filed so it automatically shows your text as it was written?

When I enter the text in the following way:

Hi, 
My name is Nenad.

Tasks that I was planning are:
* one
* two
* three

Instead it shows it later on (in view mode) like:
Hi, My name is Nenad. Tasks that I was planning are: * one * two * three

_Is there a way to solve_ this?
