HTML Code Page is displaying the actual code

With the old dashboard I could easily flip my view between the html and the preview using the toggle HTML Source Button. I'm attempting to create a similar html dashboard section with the new widget based dashboard. According to the help info, there are extra steps now and I have to create a code page and then add that as a web page widget to the new dashboard. The problem I'm having is that all it displays is the html text code. And I don't see a toggle HTML Source Button. I'm assuming there is a simple toggle button or a setting that I'm missing, but I don't see it and your help is greatly appreciated. Also, I copy pasted the same HTML from the old dashboard version, which worked fine, so I know it is not the code itself.

Thank you,

  • It appears that in the new UI, there is no way to toggle between text/HTML on a "Code" page. In addition, if you are displaying the code page on a Dashboard page using the web widget, ensure that the "Code" page is labeled with the .html extension for it to display properly on the Dashboard.
  • Thank you.  Could you give me an example url?  I tried going to settings-> pages-> preview to capture the proper url, but it sill just presents the code page.  I tried just adding .html to that url and still no go.
  • Never mind.  Thank you and I figured it out.  Just in case anyone else runs into this, the answer it to add .html to the end of the page name.  So go to settings-> Go to Pages-> Click New Page-> select Code Page-> and in the "Page Name:" box name it a word that ends in .html.  Like TestCodePage.html    Nothing on the screen tells you to do this!  Thanks again dmiller34.
