Limit number of displayed rows

Hi All,

I have a field that is a proxy to another table which is growing, is there a way I can restrict the size of the list in the dropdown to, lets say 5, or bring the "Create new record" button to the top of the list?

    Maybe just suggest to the users to type xxx, get no hits and then you will at the Add New button right away.

      What If I wanted to have the same functionality as that "Create new" button but in a URL formula field, what the url should be in order for the new record to populate the dropdown?

        There is not a way to do that with a URL formula button, because you would need to create the new parent record and obtain its Record ID, and then use that to connect the child Record to it.  The problem is that there is nit a way to get the record ID until the record is actually created.
