Limit number of displayed rows

Hi All,I have a field that is a proxy to another table which is growing, is there a way I can restrict the size of the list in the dropdown to, lets say 5, or bring the "Create new record" button to the top of the list?------------------------------Regards,Gustavo Cota------------------------------

Maybe just suggest to the users to type xxx, get no hits and then you will at the Add New button right away.

What If I wanted to have the same functionality as that "Create new" button but in a URL formula field, what the url should be in order for the new record to populate the dropdown?

There is not a way to do that with a URL formula button, because you would need to create the new parent record and obtain its Record ID, and then use that to connect the child Record to it. The problem is that there is nit a way to get the record ID until the record is actually created.

Maybe I didnt explain myself correctly.I am creating a record where I have a dropdown with a bunch of existing elements. At the end of the dropdown the "create new" button allows me to create a new element for the dropdown and then adding it to the list without first saving the main record.I guess the "create new" button calls a url to open the new window to create a record "on-the-fly" thus without requiring the ID of the main record.That url is the one I would like to add to a URL formula field------------------------------gustavo cota------------------------------
