Lock Reports From adding columns?

Question

If I put a report on a home page, but dont want people to be able to add columns (some fields are confidential) do I have to modify the access to each field? Or is there a report setting to only allow them to add and remove the default columns on that report?

If I check that box, I'm assuming they can't create or modify an reports at all, but if I just say no access on a table, that would mean they can just only use default fields?

If you check that box they will not be able to make ANY changes to ANY reports in the whole app. They get only what you give them.Or you can modify the access permissions at the field level for all the fields that you want to block.&nbsp; Note that if you do that and those fields are used in subsequent calculations, then they lose access to those fields too, unless you enable override sub field permissions.If you block a table from showing, they can still see reports if you give then a link, but they could not access the Table Home Page even if you give them a link.but I am not understanding thisIf I just say no access on a table, that would mean they can just only use default fields?If they have no access to a table then they would have a link to the data on a report if you give them a link.------------------------------Mark Shnier (YQC)Quick Base Solution ProviderYour Quick Base Coachhttp://QuickBaseCoach.commark.shnier@gmail.com------------------------------

Well, I am starting to think there is no good solution to my issue.&nbsp;I have an employee table with employee names, titles, etc. It includes an employee ID which is a unique identifier and is my key field. It also is a private number I am trying to hide from people (i.e. not let them add it to reports).I think I am in a catch 22.&nbsp; If I take away their access to the ID field, anywhere I use a lookup field (thus its looking up off that employee ID), they cannot see that field. I tried overriding the subfield, and that oddly allows them to see the field but not the data in that field...(?!)Am I stuck or is there a work around I am not thinking of? Was hoping they could still make reports, but just not with that field. But seeing as it is the key field....maybe I'm stuck------------------------------Mike Tamoush------------------------------
