Lock values once form is marked complete

Question

I have a form that I would like to lock all values once the form is marked finalized. If formulas or values in linked tables change I do not want the values to change if the form is marked finalized.

What is the best way to do this? Do the values need to be copied to another table when the form is marked finalized?

I suggest that you explore the use of what is called snapshot fields to freeze the value of any lookup fields. That will take care of the values form other tables issue.

The set a Role Permission for some roles not to allow editing once the record is marked as Final.
