Make the text field smaller on display mode

I'd like to make the text field smaller on display/view mode because it's taking too much space of the form and make the form look weird. Please see below. All the fields are too long even they are numeric fields. Please help and show me how to make it smaller. THANKS!!1
  • The simplest way to shorten the block of text is to add a text element after it on your form. You can add as many spaces to the text box as you need to 'push' it to the left. It's a hack, but it works.

You could also add a section break between the text and the fields without a header and set the form properties to not show horizontal rules.

Thanks so much! I got it by using the second way.

I have another question related to this page too. After I shorten the block, there is an empty space on the right. How can I add a big text box in this empty space but does not affect anything on the left (see below)? Please help. Thanks!!

The only way to add something to the right is by check the "same row" box in the form customization options.

Unfortunately, this will also affect the fields on the left to some degree. For example, if your text box has multiple rows there will be a gap to account for that.

The image below shows where the "same row" option is on the right. You can also put multiple items on the same row.

Play with the layout using these options and I'm sure you'll be able to get to a good solution, even if it isn't quite what you originally wanted.
