newly created button only showing up in one record

I have created a button on a form which creates a new record in another table. however, it is only visible on a single record of the form where I created it. When i go into the other records and click the customize button it shows up in the form element list (and is set to display for all uses) but is is not visible in the form. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Dante,

    Do you know if you have any form rules in place on that form which hide certain sections or fields under certain conditions? That is the most common one that I can think of if it is showing up on the list of form elements but not displaying. That one record might be in the right state for the hide/show rules to display that field correctly while the others are not.

    Doh! That is exactly what happened and I did it intentionally. I just forgot about the rule I put in place. Thanks for remembering for me!
