Pipeline and linked child tables

I am working on a pipeline to convert an opportunity to a project.   I have that all built and all the fields put in .  HOwever, I have 3 child fields (quotes, activities, and documents) and the records will be linked to the opportunity.   What is the easiest way to link all of these child records to the project  so they show up on the report links during the conversion?  I didn't know if it could happen in the same pipeline as the conversion, or if i had to make a separate one.

    A few clarifying questions for you:

    • The tables - Quotes, Activities, and Documents - do these already have a relationship to the Project?
    • Is it necessary to differentiate between child records created during the course of the Opportunity vs those created specifically during the Project phase?
    • Do you need to bring any information up from these child records to the Project record (Summary fields)?
    • Do you need to bring any information down from the Project to these child records (Lookup fields)?
