Proxy Field

Hi,

I have a reference field that is showing the Record ID (key field) on forms. As I want it to show the actual name, I set the proxy field accordingly. However, it still shows the Record ID #. Not sure why, what am I missing?

I can provide more information if needed, just not sure what else will help.

*Edit: I realized I can just use my lookup field instead on my form. So I found a solution, but I suppose what this means is I don't understand what the proxy field selection is used for. If I select a proxy field, it doesn't display any different on the form...?

*Edit 2: Just figured it out. It allows the proxy field to have the drop down selection. Don't know how to delete this post....
