QB App upload pdf/file attachment to sftp

I found an old thread regarding uploading file attachments to an ftp via javascript: https://community.quickbase.com/quickbase/topics/automated-upload-to-ftp-site

However, I noticed that the freeapi in question is using http instead of https... and to get their security token, this would require me giving them credentials to the sftp site in question.

Major issue here is that this would be to clients' SFTP, so security is of utmost importance.
