Report in Exact form showing default columns only

Hi all,
  I'm placing a customized report into an Exact form and it will only show the default columns no matter what report ID or name I use.  Is there a trick to this other than just using the tildes and a field ID?  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    if you don't include a clist in the subtable string the default columns will be displayed
    add ^clist=6.7.8.9 to your subtable string in your template listing the field id's you want to display,
