Report Link data

I have used a report link to pull matching data from a table in a different app. It creates a link to a report, as the name suggests, but how do I access the summary data in the app? For example, I don't need a link to all the matching records, but I might want to know how many records it found, and then totals or averages of specific fields. Relationships offer these kinds of features, but I don't see them in Report Link.

    If you display the records on the form, you can use any report or chart to display the matching records. 



    set the Report in form properties
